Earlier this week I was asked to help find a 3-month, volunteer assignment for one of our staff from Switzerland who would like to come to Florida to improve her English. She is actually Turkish! I just got the following e-mail: "Cy, Sorry that this seems to be taking so much of your time! I had no idea this was so complicated. Please accept my apologies for causing you this trouble. By the way, your answers to people have been very wise and diplomatic. Brian"

"Thanks to the diagram you drew when you were in France in November, Ken was able to get my technical issues solved! Thanks Cy! Roger Randall" (My boss, VP Europe & Russia, Campus Crusade for Christ!) It sure is nice to get a compliment from my boss and to know that my trip to France last year was not in vain!! Everyone will be thrilled to see that Roger is back "on-line"!! Me too!

I just "connected" a staff serving in Budapest with a long lost friend here in the States!. Here's what Jim wrote: "Cy! You’re so nice to send this on to me! I just called her and we had a great conversation with my old friend and we nearly cried, it was so good! Thanks! Jim"

Today I saved our ministry $360! Actually, the Lord did it, I just got to help! My boss comes in next week for meetings and wanted to stay at a hotel with whom we don't have a special rate. So, I called the hotel directly, spoke with "Barbara" (thank the Lord for her!) and she offered me a very special rate for no apparent reason!! Praise the Lord!

I also got to facilitate a meeting today with two CCC staff couples, looking for new assignments! Both have lived in France!! One couple is willing to go back to France, the other would like to serve here in Orlando. Please pray that the Lord will show them exactly the right fit!

I just got the following encouragement from a staff colleague here in Orlando: "Thank you Cy. You're the best. Bill Thomas, Director International Human Resources, CCC." Why? One of my roles is to help connect people with our European ministries. Bill got an e-mail from Brian at Calvary Chapel, asking if we have ministry in Norway. I simply wrote Brian back to connect him with our director in the Netherlands, to get the info he needs! So, your partnership with me helps connect Christians around the globe! Thank you sooooo much!
